
RSF bomb hospitals in El Obeid City

A drone launched by the Rapid Support Forces today targeted the Social Security Hospital in El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, killing and wounding citizens.
Eyewitnesses said that the Rapid Support Forces bombed two hospitals and several residential neighborhoods in El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State in central Sudan, according to Agence France-Presse.
El Obeid Hospital announced that it was out of service after being attacked by a Rapid Support Forces drone, causing significant damage.
The administration of El Obeid-El Social Security Hospital stated in a statement that the attack caused damage to the main building as a result of being targeted by a strategic drone, leading to the suspension of all medical services provided there.
The statement said: "In light of these circumstances and the great challenges in which we are doing our utmost to serve citizens, we regret to announce that the hospital is out of service until further notice."
A military source told Agence France-Presse, "Residential neighborhoods in the city were targeted with heavy artillery," noting that the shelling targeted Al-Ubayyid International Hospital (Al-Dhaman Hospital) and the military hospital (Al-Wessal Medical Hospital). Eyewitnesses close to Al-Ubayyid International Hospital confirmed that it was hit by shelling.
