Sudan: Calm on the battlefronts since March 25

Follow-up - Moatinoon
“Moatinoon” monitored the pages of the resistance committees and emergency rooms in various regions and noted complete calm on the battlefronts, especially in areas that had been witnessing artillery and aerial bombardment by the warring parties.

Moatinoon follow-up was based on the news published by the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel about the Saudi delegations visit to Port Sudan, the alternative administrative capital. The channels report stated that the Saudi delegation presented a clear initiative for an unconditional ceasefire by both sides of the fighting in Sudan.

The Saudi report indicated that the recent Saudi initiative was coupled with a strong American warning to both sides of the conflict about the necessity of a ceasefire without preconditions.

According to the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel, the Saudi delegation reached an agreement between the two warring parties stipulating an unconditional ceasefire effective from 6:00 PM on March 24.

Moatinoon noted, by following several Facebook pages, that the last news from the El Fasher Resistance Committees Coordination Committee about artillery shelling by Rapid Support Forces or operations was five days ago, on March 25.

The Khartoum Local Emergency Room, whose latest news was published the day before yesterday, March 26, stated that the Khartoum Locality is free and safe.

The South Belt Emergency Room invited people to the annual iftar held today at Bashayer University Hospital, indicating complete calm in southern Khartoum.

The East Nile Emergency Room reported no news of operations since March 25, only announcements of missing persons.

The last news published by the Al-Obyid Live page was on March 20, about the restoration of electricity to the city.
