North Darfurs Al-Malha Youth Condemns Violations of Joint Forces

The Local Malha Youth Forum, North Darfur State, condemned the assassination of a citizen of the area by joint forces. The joint forces arrested Hamza citizen Adam Abdel Rahman on charges of buying a weapon from one of their members and torturing him to death.

The joint forces fired heavily on a mass of citizens who had gathered to protest their sons death, killing another citizen and a member of the regular forces affiliated with the Central Reserve, along with wounding 8 others.

The Forum considered the conduct of the joint forces to be a full-fledged crime and a flagrant attack on human dignity and fundamental rights, adding that there had been an extension of a long series of violations perpetrated by the joint forces against citizens in the Maleh locality.

Al-Malhas youth called for the perpetrators to be brought to fruition immediately, stressing that the joint forces had become a direct threat to the security and safety of citizens rather than to security and stability. They also called for the prevention of the presence of troops in neighbourhoods and their removal from civilian institutions.

The statement underscored the importance of unity and cooperation among all components of society, and called on all to abide by the unity of class to stop these violations.
