The Sudanese Teachers Committee reported that a military force in civilian clothing, known as the "Special Task Forces," in the city of Dongola, yesterday, detained teacher Omar Al-Misbah Mohamed Dafallah, who is from Wad Al-Haddad, Gezira State. He was displaced from Wad Al-Haddad to Kassala and then to Dongola.

The Sudanese Teachers Committee condemned the arrests and violations continuously committed by the two warring forces against civilians without any legal justification, exploiting the wars atmosphere.

In a statement received by "Citizens" today, the committee said, "The most heinous crimes have been committed against unarmed civilians, while criminals are being embraced and welcomed as victors, reinforcing the notion that this is a senseless war targeting citizens."

The Sudanese Teachers Committee held the security and military authorities in Northern State responsible for the safety of the detained teacher and all detained teachers. It called for his immediate release or for him to be brought to trial before the judiciary.
