Message from the ``Moatinoon Center`` on the Occasion of the International Day of Peace
On this International Day of Peace, we at the Citizens Center for Peace Journalism renew our commitment to advocating for peace, justice, and human dignity in Sudan. As our country continues to face violence and division, it is more crucial than ever that we stand united for the principles of nonviolence, dialogue, and understanding.
This day reminds us that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice, equality, and opportunities for all. Peace requires that the voices of ordinary citizens be heard and the needs of the most vulnerable in society be met. We believe that media plays a powerful role in this mission, acting as a bridge between the people and decision-makers, sharing their stories, and promoting a culture of peace.
At the Citizens Center for Peace Journalism, we strive to amplify the voices of those affected by violence, highlight their needs, and foster meaningful dialogue to build lasting peace. Our mission is to defend the rights of all Sudanese to live in security and dignity, free from fear and oppression.
On this day, we call on everyone to commit to the principles of peace in our hearts, communities, and nation. Let us reject the cycles of violence and division and embrace cooperation, compassion, and understanding.
Together, we can build a Sudan where peace is not just a hope but a reality for every citizen.
With peace and solidarity,
