Death Toll Rises to 20 after RSF Shelling in El-Obeid

Dr. Eman Malik, Director General of the Ministry of Health in North Kordofan State, announced that the death toll has risen to 20, with the number of injured reaching 125 as of Thursday morning following the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) shelling of El-Obeid city on Wednesday.

The Sudan Doctors Preparatory Committee stated that El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, witnessed a new massacre yesterday due to the RSF artillery shelling, which targeted the city’s markets, a government ministry, and a girls high school.

The committee added that the wounded were treated at El-Obeid Hospital under difficult health conditions, with a shortage of medical supplies and staff.

The Sudan Doctors Preparatory Committee condemned the targeting of unarmed civilians, including schools and civilian gatherings in markets.
