The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate extends its warmest congratulations and deepest pride to journalist and syndicate member Shamael Elnoor, on the occasion of her selection by Raseef22 platform as one of the Most Inspiring and Influential Arab Women of 2025, as well as her inclusion in the list of the Top 100 Influential Figures.
The Syndicate stated that this prestigious recognition comes at a critical moment in Sudan’s history, as Elnoor continues to carry out her journalistic mission with rare courage and unwavering professionalism amid the devastating war that has gripped the country since 2023. Her commitment to truth, accuracy, independence, objectivity, and integrity, the Syndicate noted, reaffirms that free journalism is not a luxury, but a moral and humanitarian necessity—especially in times of conflict and darkness.
The Syndicate praised Elnoor’s longstanding journalistic career, marked by a clear alignment with the values of freedom and justice, and her steadfast presence alongside the public in moments of both triumph and hardship, without compromise or retreat from professional and ethical responsibilities.
Special recognition was given to her influential contributions through her widely read column “The Seventh Nerve”, as well as her in-depth investigations, bold interviews, and field reports from conflict zones, including Darfur and eastern Sudan, where she reported directly from the heart of events with exceptional bravery and responsibility.
The statement also highlighted that Elnoor’s impact extends beyond traditional media to social media platforms, where tens of thousands follow her analyses to better understand Sudan’s complex realities, making her a trusted reference for free expression and factual insight.
