As the El-Fasher Resistance Committees Coordination announced renewed fighting this evening between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) along with their allies, in the vicinity of El-Fasher Airport and several areas in the western part of the city, Mossad Pulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President, urged RSF leaders to ensure the safety of civilians and humanitarian workers in the city.
In a press statement, Boulos stressed that the RSF must protect civilians and prevent further suffering in El-Fasher, calling for the immediate opening of humanitarian corridors to allow civilians to reach safe areas.
The Resistance Committees reported heavy shelling toward the First-Class neighborhood and artillery positions, amid a complete absence of air support or aviation activity.
The committees’ statement warned residents leaving El-Fasher against traveling through or approaching the western and southern parts of the city to avoid being caught in artillery fire, advising instead to exit through the northwestern routes of El-Fasher.
