Killing of the Chief of the Majaneen Tribe in Kordofan by a Drone Strike

The Chief of the Majaneen Tribe, Suleiman Jaber Juma Sahl, along with several tribal and community leaders, was killed in a drone attack in the Al-Mazroob area, west of El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) control the Al-Mazroob area, where the incident took place, as well as other parts of the Kordofan region.

According to sources, Chief Sahl and others were killed during a meeting of local community leaders convened to discuss the killing of one of their tribesmen.

No official body has issued a statement regarding the incident so far, amid mutual accusations between supporters of both warring parties over who is responsible for the attack.
